Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County – CORAL Afterschool Program is a K-8 afterschool program that focuses on improving academic achievement through literacy and homework support and providing sports and other enrichment activities at 22 school sites in San Jose, CA. CORAL improves the academic achievement of young people through out-of-school programs by involving students, families, schools, and community-based organizations. Since 2003, CORAL has increased literacy rates and reduced the achievement gap for tens of thousands of at-risk students in San Jose’s highest poverty and lowest performing schools.
